Support my work. Thanks!

This page shares links to all my latest work, as well as an archive.

I am an investigative journalist and podcaster, focusing on:

  • Autistic rights

  • Exposing health frauds & scams

  • Cancer (patient experience)

  • Wokeness & social breakdown

  • Celebrating IRL initiatives in an increasingly virtual world.

Current podcasts

  • In my podcast Awake from Woke, I speak with people who have been canceled & those who are challenging the woke tyranny, exploring new ways for moderates to find each other and create a healthier political and social discourse.

  • My new podcast, Team IRL, launches in Jan 2026 & focuses on new groups and social movements to get offline and enjoy irl experiences together.

    Book excerpts & other writing

  • I have a Substack that’s excerpting my latest book, The Childen Do Not Consent: The Search for Autism’s Cure & the Kids Who Pay the Cost. The book is also available in full here, where you can also purchase my first book, ABA: The Troubling History & Legacy of Today’s Most Popular Autism Therapy.

  • I have a new book coming out in June, and you can get news on that right here. The Informed Parent, a decision-making guide for parents of autistic people, from early childhood through adulthood, will be published by Jessica Kingsley Press.

  • My personal page (you’re on it) explores the patient experience of having cancer. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 and am now managing metastatic disease.

  • Sometimes I write about other things, too (such as my work in autism research).

Archives

  • I’ve written extensively, including for the New York Times, Healthy Debate, Globe and Mail, Factkeepers and Thinking Person’s Guide to Autism. My works will soon be archived, either in full or via link, here

  • My podcast, Noncompliant: A Podcast about Neurodiversity, (2019-2025) was one of the first podcasts about neurodiversity. It remains popular due to the uniquely amazing diversity of guests including researchers, artists, advocates and everyday heroes. It will soon be archived here (Currently on Wordpress).
